The recordings in this collection
“LIVE AT TEMPLE BALL GALLERY”, are taken
from a span of over 3 years of performances at the
music hall TEMPLE BALL GALLERY located in Carrboro,
North Carolina. Jaafar was a common feature at this
club, and was allowed a great deal of freedom to explore
not only the music of JAAFAR, but also to explore
where the audience and musicians are capable of traveling.
The music contained on this disc combines many styles
of what JAAFAR has become known to be capable of handeling
and creating. Middle Eastern Jazz, Arabic Funk- all
a Fusion. Oud, Electric Guitar, Piano, acoustic bass,
Indian, Arabic and African percussions, and Drum kits,
and occasional horns. Ingredients for creating a unique
and new fusion of world influences.
